Introduction & Terms of Business

I specialise in designing and making hand finished soft furnishings. I can help you choose the most appropriate fabrics and provide examples of styles and colours, textures, and design to act as a guide when making your choice. I provide a full professional service from the initial measuring to the final fitting and dressing.

Customer liaison

Although I am prepared to give a ‘guide price’ in response to telephone enquires I prefer to have an initial meeting to discuss your requirements prior to preparing an accurate and competitive estimate. Once you have decided to go ahead with the work, I shall maintain close contact in order to ensure that any queries arising during work- in- progress are answered promptly. When the job is ready for delivery and fitting. I shall make a convenient appointment with you.

Site visits

For the initial visit there will be a charge from £25 to £150 depending on the size of project; this is to cover measuring and estimating and will be deducted if you agree to go ahead with the estimate.

If you require further visits during work- in- progress, there will be a charge of £25 per hour.

Estimates

Once I have all the information I need to meet your requirements, I shall submit the estimate,

which will include the cost of materials , the making and fabric choice from fabrics supplied.

The customer is responsible for arranging fitting of tracks and poles.

Fitting can be arranged if necessary.

Cost of the initial visit will be deducted if you proceed.

Once agreed I will give you a projected start date and a target for completion.

Deposit for fabric will be due before starting the project 

I can also submit estimates with the fabric being supplied by the customer 

Validity of Estimate

My cost estimates will be valid for one month following the date submitted.

Projected start/ delivery schedules will be advised in writing or email once you have accepted my estimate.

Additional work or variations

Any additional work which you request during the project will be acknowledged in writing or email and charged accordingly.

Invoicing and Payment

Each estimate is based on the understanding that when necessary (e.g. large projects) interim invoices will be submitted for payment materials/work-in-progress at pre-defined stages of the work. The final invoice for the balance will be presented on completion, to be paid within seven days.
